Thank you for inquiring about funding opportunities with Firelight Foundation. We are no longer accepting Letters of Inquiry or Proposals for the year 2012. We will review our ability to commit to new partnerships in 2013.

Until then, we also encourage you to check our weekly Newsflash, which contains useful information related to community organizations in Africa, organizational management, and potential sources of funding.

We wish you all the best in your efforts to support children, families, and their communities in sub-Saharan Africa.

THE DECISION PROCESS FOR ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUBMITTED A LETTER OF INQUIRY

The deadline for receiving Letters of Inquiry (LOI) was February 15, 2012. Selected organizations will be invited to submit a full application by March 15, 2012. As we are a small foundation with limited resources, we cannot support all of the qualified organizations that submit inquiries. If we decline your request, we will try our best to explain why. Funding awards will be made in July 2012.

If your organization is a charitable organization working with orphans and vulnerable children based in the Northern Region of Malawi, Lesotho, or Tanzania we invited you to send a Letter of Inquiry and provide us with basic information about your organization. Below are the guidelines needed for having submitted an LOI.
