Our Team Cheryl
Talley-Moon, Human Resources and Office Manager Previously, she has worked in the field of alternative medicine and in the care of Alzheimer's patients. Cheryl became involved in the Firelight Foundation through her admiration of the Foundation's work in helping vulnerable children in Africa. Cheryl has studied holistic medicine for 18 years, earning certifications in massage and nutrition. In 1988, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Art, with an Emphasis in Photography, from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Cheryl finds that working at Firelight has allowed her to join a group of compassionate people helping grassroots groups that are often overlooked by larger funders. She sees Firelight's approach as holistic in nature, considering all aspects of children's rights and needs—physical, educational, and psychosocial.
