Nancy Shallow
Nancy Shallow, J.D., is a senior consultant specializing in employment
practices risk management for a global human resources consulting
firm.
Serving nationwide, she helps clients develop, implement, and maintain
"best practice" employment policies and procedures, prevent
harassment and discrimination, and improve diversity and equal employment
opportunity efforts. Before she began consulting in February 1999,
Nancy practiced law for more than 10 years at Baker & Hostetler
and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in Washington, D.C., and
Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone in Detroit. She specialized
in employment law.
Nancy holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She earned
a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Michigan State University,
where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Nancy is the sister of Kerry Olson, President and co-founder of
the Firelight Foundation. She has always had an interest in preserving
children's fundamental human rights. Her personal interests include
spending time with her son and her husband Kent, traveling, reading,
and the performing arts. She lives in Michigan.
