This initiative supports community-based organizations (CBOs) in Malawi to lead community-driven efforts to end child marriage beginning in July 2026. Working with religious and traditional leaders and other community stakeholders, CBOs are strengthening their capacity to understand and address the underlying causes of child marriage and to develop locally led solutions. The work includes community dialogues, public awareness activities, community dramas and media outreach, including collaboration with community radio stations, alongside ongoing coaching, monitoring and learning to strengthen and sustain community-led action. It is part of "Protecting Girls, Transforming Futures", which brings together the Government of Malawi, UNICEF, CIFF and implementing partners to end child marriage in ten districts over five years.
